In some ways, the seminal performance moment for Futurist theatre was the production of Alfred Jarry’s slapstick play Ubu Roi. This was originally conceived of as a puppet play (and we will return to this). It was obscene in its scatological references, it is crude in dialogue and presentation and is a grotesque farce. Futurism was first announced on Febru , when the Paris newspaper Le Figaro published a manifesto by the Italian poet and editor Filippo Tommaso tti coined the word Futurism to reflect his goal of discarding the art of the past and celebrating change, originality, and innovation in culture and society. It includes thirteen manifestos (such as "The Art of Noise," "The Futurist Synthetic Theatre") by Marinetti, Prampolini and Russolo, and forty-eight performance texts (sintesi) by Balla, Boccioni, Depero, Cangiullo, and. Its key figures were the Italians Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Umberto Boccioni, Carlo Carrà, Fortunato Depero, Gino Severini, Giacomo Balla, and Luigi .   Are you suffering from Wakanda withdrawal? Don’t worry. You’re not alone; we’re all homesick for the fictive world of Marvel’s historic Black Panther. Whether viewed once, twice, or weekly, the movie’s ability to envelop its audience in a visually arresting re-imagining of Africa never gets old. It’s difficult to witness T’Challa’s determination, Princess Shuri’s brilliance.
